About

We are a voluntary swimming club based in the Seven Towers Leisure Centre, Ballymena.  We are run by an excellent team of professional coaching staff and voluntary parents.

The club provides opportunities for children from the aged 5 years old, starting within our current Learn 2 Swim programme developing and participating to a competitive level of swimming. 

Many of our coaching staff have seen their own children progress through the various levels of the club and develop into confident, competent young adults who appreciate and value the many qualities that being in a team has instilled in them.

Parents of other children have also engaged effectively within the club and actively participate in the admin and management of the club on a voluntary basis.

Ballymena Swimming Club have 20 volunteers within the club. Some of the volunteers have been coaching since their own children were in the swimming club and have now left.  The volunteers are passionate about our swimmers they still want to give us their time.  We have 200+ swimmers within the club at present, swimmers starting from the age of 5 right up to 18.
